11-21-08
I made my own board game for the youth group I help teach, it involved scriptures and other things, they landed on a space they had to answer a question before moving on... it kinda worked but it's just a hair to long for the time we have.... I could use some ideas.... :)

Update 10-07-08
I'm thinking about taking that western game adding it to a risk game, possibly a few other board games as well. It would be interesting to see how far a game like that could go, and for how long. I'm still looking for new ideas and ways to make a game longer, and exciting enough to make it worth playing for hours.

Interesting Soccer Strategy Game

Have you ever seen anything like this one? Apparently the ball..., which I could never find when I bought this thing..., landed in the grooves by a player, the spring loaded player would be pulled back and released sending the ball towards the opposing goalie that could be positioned before the shot was taken. Kinda cool, made in Hungary, looks hand made and hand painted.... :)

Classic and modern strategy games

Not gone, are the days of classic strategy games, new frontiers, and a mixture of creativity. The perfect strategy game lasts anywhere from a few hours to a week, depending on size, location, what the game is... etc. etc. Take Risk for example, people have taken those huge wall maps and turned them into battle fields. I thought crossing games with other games was always fun and exciting..., I have a small collection as you can see, not icluded in the pictures are The Burmuda Triangle game, and the two Risk games that I have. I want to see ideas for larger games, bigger, better, spread out all over the world even. What are your favorite games, do you have any extra things you add to your battles to make them more interesting? I've added micromachine tanks, soldiers, and more to Risk, drawn up territories from Atlantis to futuristic factions and lands. So.... what's up?
